I'm a Kawasaki man, but if it has electronic ignition (no points), then I'd suspect somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5-2.8 total ohms on the primary winding. Keep in mind that if your bike uses a ballast resistor, the coil itself will probably be lower, probably in the 1.5 ohm range. If the service manual is for your model and year bike, then go by what it says. The older points type coils all run around 4-5 ohms no matter what brand they are. Secondary resistance values are usually something like 12,000-14,000 ohms. If you're having specific problems and need help, email me.
